About Author Bishop Jesse Battle
Bread of Life Pentecostal Apostolic Church. The picture of my father, Suf. Bishop Jesse Battle, Sr., hangs as the “Inspirational Pastor for Bread of Life Church,” and wife, Mary Ann Battle, hangs as the “Founding Mother of Bread of Life Church.”
Together, they founded House of Deliverance Pentecostal Church on Sunday, December 30, 1956 of which he pastored until his death Feb. 26, 2001. My mother helped launch Bread of Life Church and was a member until her death Nov. 12, 2006.
